Sending direct on by SMTP?

I am Have a question about your software. What does sending direct? Is there another way of sending mail by no using my SMTP server?

You can either send by SMTP or direct

You can either send by SMTP or direct, these are the only 2 ways.
Direct does not use your SMTP server.
